Hierographx, a Michigan-based technology company, today announced that it has changed its name to Hiero. More than a new name, the rebrand marks a deliberate shift in the company's focus and establishes hiero.dev as its flagship and official home.
The change reflects a direction the company has been moving toward for years. Hiero began working with artificial intelligence more than five years ago, well before ChatGPT brought AI into everyday conversation. That early start gave the team a depth of hands-on experience that now sits at the center of the business.
"Most companies are just now figuring out AI. We have been perfecting our use of it for years," said Andrew Lay, Chief Executive Officer of Hiero. "That head start is why we can make this move with confidence. Hiero is a decision to focus on the work we understand better than almost anyone."
As part of the rebrand, the company is organizing its work under two distinct brands. Hiero, based at hiero.dev, focuses on building applications and delivering AI and automation implementations for businesses. Hiero Studio, based at studio.hiero.dev and formerly known as hieroart.com, is the dedicated home for website design and development and SEO campaigns, including custom website builds, technical SEO, content strategy and search performance management.
The company is also intentionally narrowing what it does. Hiero is stepping away from general branding and marketing to concentrate where its expertise runs deepest: custom software, AI and automation under the Hiero brand, and websites and SEO under Hiero Studio.
"This rebrand is as much about what we are leaving behind as what we are building," said EmilyKate Lorenz, Chief Operating Officer of Hiero. "We are stepping away from general branding and marketing so we can go all in. Hiero builds software and AI systems. Hiero Studio designs websites and runs SEO campaigns. That clarity is what makes us most valuable to our clients"
The rebrand will not affect existing client projects and the company's phone number remains unchanged during the transition.
